Maldives 2017

This trip only alan and myself have been there before. We have David dage, foo dage, bro Azlan who is my soccer kaki and he is also the one who introduced boat fishing to me, andy who is alan younger brother, CY and not forgetting our brothers Kenny.
On 1st April we meet at changi airport T 2 and took SIA flight. Thanks to Foo da get we have the priority to board the flight on a VIP channel.

Sibu ah teng ( Spanish mackerel)

Went to tan Jong leman on capt raymond' 's boat. We were late because one of our kaki forget to bring his passport and have to turn back.
Raymond suggest we go all out to try for th tengrillI, when we reached thereally is another boat there have several hook up but theydropped most of them. Raymond hooked 2 small and medium size on jig, derrick and myself missed one each. After it all went quiet and when I saw 'a school of herring was swimming opposite direction. I suspect so e pelagic have spooked them, without any hesitation I cast out my pintail and stern to retrieve and on the third this sibu ah teng took it. It take me min to land it.

tanjong leman on captain Raymond's boat

Captain Raymond is Singapore who stationed in tanjong Leman and operate fishing trip around Sibu island. He is an old friend of my fishing bro Edmund. The trip end landing 3 mackerel by 2 kaki and captain Raymond. Edmund got one mackerel on  foul hook but eventually lost it. I lost one, the mackerel snap my jig like a cutter snip a toothpick, botn Richard and Kenny  also lost a few mackerel. Total we lost 9 mackerel, those landed are by Pintail or Pintail look alike lure.

This trip we have a kaki who is his maiden trip and landing one of the mackerel and the other one was by bro Boon Lee. 

In the afternoon the bite stop and captain Raymond moved to a other we caught a few wolf herring and some coral fish. We end the trip at 5 pm and back to tanjong Leman jetty and get shower before we make an hour drive to jalan molek for dinner & massage.

 It is closed to year end and we will come back frequently when the aji season start.

The catch wasn't fantastic but we have good food and fun after the fishing. This was about one year ago.  After fishing we went to jalan molek to eat one of the famous zechar and is mama Mia.  After dinner massage session at master chai and the message is one of the best I ever have.

BBQ and Ajing at St John Island

We have a fun trip to St John island to fish for big eye scad, this is one of the powerful fish in Ajing game. Ajing is a finese fishing using a pe 0.1 to 0.5 tackle. The jig head is no more then 3 gm on to 2 pound mono line, I once got a baby queenie at sibu island and the fight is like a dog tooth tuna because of the micro light setup. Will do more on ajing in the upcoming trip and share in my blog.
